Complete Energy was established to capitalize on attractive investment opportunities for power generation assets. Over the next few years, Complete Energy plans to acquire 7,000 to 10,000 megawatts of generation capacity in various areas of the country. In 2004 the company acquired the Batesville Electric Generating Facility, an 837 MW natural gas-fired facility in Batesville, Mississippi. In August 2005 Complete Energy acquired the 1,022 MW, gas-fired La Paloma Generating Facility located in Mckittrick, California.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Complete Energy also has offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. A team of industry veterans with a wealth of knowledge in the energy asset acquisition and management arena leads the company.

Complete Energy is presently evaluating acquisition opportunities, including merchant and contracted power plants currently being divested by utilities, independent power producers and financial institutions.

At Complete Energy, we are in a position to create significant value in the power generation space using our experience, knowledge, contacts, and private equity funds. Over the next few years, a large number of assets are expected to be sold. Over 30,000 megawatts are currently on the market and an additional 15,000 - 20,000 MW are expected to be available within the next two years.

We believe that an opportunity exists over the next three to five years for a company with our capabilities to be quite successful because only a small number of strategic companies will have the ability to participate in generation acquisitions. We think that the most likely candidates to become significant players for power generation assets over the next few years will be large private equity/hedge funds. 

As a result, new owners of generation who have the capabilities to buy, own and operate the assets should experience a 50 to 100-percent increase in the market value of these assets within five to seven years, awarding investors with a significant return on their investment.

Complete Energy is actively seeking opportunities to acquire power generation and other energy delivery assets. We will selectively participate in asset or asset portfolio auctions conducted by sellers or their representatives. However, our preferred method is to structure transactions directly and exclusively with sellers by utilizing our personal relation­ships.
